We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Data Engineering Expert to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a key member of our analytics organization, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data engineering solutions that drive business value across our healthcare network.

About the Role

This is a remote opportunity that requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in a data engineering role in healthcare. You will work closely with subject matter experts to define data requirements, source data, and format it for analysis. Your expertise in SQL, Python, Glue, and cloud data warehousing technologies (AWS, Redshift) will enable you to extract, load, and transform data into our enterprise data warehouse (EDW).

You will also develop and maintain robust quality control processes to ensure data integrity, collaborate with technology partners to optimize data sourcing and processing rules, and troubleshoot production issues related to data flows within the enterprise.

The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a team approach to work, and applied knowledge of database management tools and data warehousing best practices. Experience with EMR systems, including system-wide hospital or ambulatory information systems, is highly valued.

What We Offer

Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a data engineering role in healthcare
  • Experience with EMR/Electronic Medical Records
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, PySpark, or other programming language
