The Electromechanical Systems Technician will be tasked with the installation, upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of electro-mechanical systems and machinery at the Durham Mfg Co facility.

Equipment Maintenance:
Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery to guarantee optimal functionality and durability.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for effective equipment repair and maintenance.
Maintain and repair robotic systems and automated machinery utilized in manufacturing processes, which may include troubleshooting issues with sensors, actuators, controllers, or mechanical components.

Calibrate and sustain instrumentation devices such as pressure gauges, temperature controllers, flow meters, and level sensors employed in process control and monitoring applications.


Troubleshooting and Repairs:
Respond swiftly to equipment failures and malfunctions.
Diagnose problems, execute repairs, and ensure a quick return to operational status.
Troubleshoot and repair control systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), relays, switches, and sensors. Technicians may need to reprogram PLCs or replace defective components to ensure proper functioning of automated machinery.
Repair and replace electric motors used in equipment such as pumps, fans, conveyors, and industrial machinery, which may involve diagnosing issues with motor windings, bearings, brushes, or connections.
Collaborate with external vendors for specialized repairs and technical assistance when necessary.
Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electro-mechanical systems and equipment.

Team Communication:
Promote a collaborative and results-driven team culture to ensure effective communication regarding maintenance issues.
Work alongside engineers and other team members to develop and implement enhancements to existing systems.
Communicate directly with supervisors to coordinate maintenance and repair tasks in production areas.

Documentation and Reporting:
Document maintenance and repair activities, including maintaining precise records of work performed and parts utilized.

Safety and Compliance:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
Take immediate action to rectify unsafe conditions.
Contribute to departmental safety objectives.
Ensure that hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments are utilized safely.
Follow all lockout/tagout procedures and storage policies.
Respond to alerts from security and fire alarms.

Additional Responsibilities:
Participate in all required training.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform other assigned duties.
Achieve and uphold departmental goals related to the 7S system.
Be responsible for the upkeep of the building and grounds.
Assist with the rebuilding and modification of production equipment.
Support robotics utilized in the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or technical certification in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
Demonstrated experience as an Electromechanical Technician or in a similar role, with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including principles, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Experience with tools and equipment used in electro-mechanical maintenance and repair.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to electrical and mechanical work.
