Job Summary

UPMC East is seeking a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to support the 4W Acute Care Unit. This position will work 3, 12-hour shifts per week, with some weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and develop a plan of care that considers individual patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to achieve desired patient outcomes and improve the quality of care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to build healing relationships and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in clinical development and/or RN residency program for new hires and seek opportunities to learn and improve practice.
Requirements
  • Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Temporary Practice Permit (TPP) for Graduate Nurses.
  • UPMC-approved national certification is preferred.
  • CPR is required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
  • Act 33, 34, and 73 with renewal.
