We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team at True Food Kitchen. As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including starters, entrees, and pizzas, using a range of kitchen equipment and techniques.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and food safety.
  • Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service.
  • Portion food products accurately and efficiently according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and corresponding equipment.
  • Execute proper plate presentation and garnish setup for all dishes.
  • Handle, store, and rotate all products properly and according to standards.
  • Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.
  • Open and close the kitchen properly, assist others, and follow checklists for kitchen stations.
  • Understand and follow proper rules of hygiene and food safety measures.
  • Participate in proactive communication to help avoid and solve operational, HR, and financial issues.
  • Be flexible during shifts to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed.

  • Competitive hourly rate of $17-$22 per hour (or starting at state minimum if higher).
