Statewide Medical Director Position

VitalCore Health Strategies, a leading provider of correctional healthcare, is seeking a highly skilled Statewide Medical Director to join our team in Lansing, Michigan.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality medical care in a correctional setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide guidance and oversight to medical staff, ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with medical providers to resolve issues and improve services.
- Supervise clinical services, including on-call duties, and ensure timely and effective care.
- Manage referrals to outside healthcare facilities, ensuring continuity of care and quality services.
- Participate in staff education and training initiatives, promoting best practices and industry standards.
- Current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Michigan.
- Board Certification.
- Valid unrestricted DEA License.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
- Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Health (MPH), or Healthcare Administration (MHCA) preferred.
- Experience in managed healthcare systems, medical quality assurance, and quality improvement.
- Leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
