Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Advanced Practice Professional to join our team at Summa Health - Akron Campus.

About the Role
  • This full-time position offers 4 10-hour days from 7:00a-5:30p and 1 weekend shift per month from 7:00a-1:00p, providing an excellent work-life balance.
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for hospital coverage and office patients, with opportunities to develop and advance quality in advanced practice through direct patient care, leadership, consultation, education, and research.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing established standards of care and coordinating services with physicians, care managers, social workers, patient care coordinators, therapists, and community agencies as appropriate.
  2. Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to improve processes of care for patients and ensure quality of patient care.
  3. Develop and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes, while maintaining affiliated hospital privileges as an Allied Health Professional.
Requirements
  • Current license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse or physician assistant in the state of Ohio.
  • Minimum one year experience as an advanced practice provider, with graduate degree from a nationally accredited program and national certification examination passed.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, self-motivation, accuracy, and time management skills, with ability to read and interpret medical documents.
  • BLS certification and proficiency in Microsoft Office and all computer programs utilized by the Practice.
