About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Healthcare Provider to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide primary and specialty care in a variety of settings.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, and promoting health education. You will work closely with surgeons and other medical professionals to provide exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical histories and perform physical examinations to establish a working diagnosis and treatment plan.
  • Initiate appropriate lab, radiology tests, or other special tests required for evaluation of illness.
  • Interpret lab data and develop a treatment plan in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Perform routine and specialized procedures as credentialed and privileged by the Medical Executive Committee and the Governing Body of the applicable hospitals.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients on their disease, treatments, related drug and treatment side effects, and hazards.
  • Collaboration: Participate in medical team rounds, collaborate with nursing, medical, and other healthcare team members regularly to ensure quality patient care.
  • Referral: Refer patients to specialists as appropriate for consultation or for specialized health resources and treatment.
Requirements:
  • Nationally certified Advanced Practice Provider (APRN) or equivalent certification.
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Clinical Nurse Specialist in applicable state(s).
  • Master's degree in APRN program or higher degree from a recognized institution.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through the AHA; or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
