Pediatric Abdominal Transplant Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Abdominal Transplant Surgeon to join our team at Emory University School of Medicine. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical and academic foundation, with expertise in pediatric abdominal transplant surgery, including liver and kidney transplantation.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows in pediatric abdominal transplant surgery.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Collaborate with the Division Chief and other surgeons to ensure the ongoing clinical operations of the liver and kidney transplant program meet UNOS bylaws and CMS regulations.
- Develop strong, supportive, and collaborative relationships with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical research and secure extramural funding to advance the field of pediatric abdominal transplant surgery.
- Board certification in Pediatric Surgery and/or General Surgery.
- Eligibility for OPTN certification as a pediatric abdominal transplant surgeon.
- Competence in deceased and living donor liver transplantation, deceased and living donor kidney transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and pediatric general surgery.
- A valid, unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the State of Georgia.
- A controlled Substance Registration Drug Enforcement Administration Certificate.
