Sheetmetal Tech I Job Description

Aviation Technology Associates LLC is seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Tech I to join our team in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary:

The Sheetmetal Tech I will work independently or with moderate supervision to fabricate and install complex interior subassemblies in aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively to receive and understand work assignments, ensuring timely completion and adherence to FAA requirements, customer specifications, and aircraft standards.
  • Properly identify and store customer property and equipment, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with disassembly and reassembly of aircraft interiors, adhering to approved procedures and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure conformity with drawings and compliance with approved aircraft repair station procedures.
  • Adapt to sudden changes while maintaining productivity and standards of quality.
  • Effectively use technical reference materials, learning how to find information to support job tasks.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of sheetmetal and/or fabrication experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes (cutting, bending, forming, drilling) is required.
  • Blueprint reading and basic math skills are required.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the aircraft Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent Process Specifications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
