Sheetmetal Technician I

Aviation Technology Associates LLC is seeking a skilled Sheetmetal Technician I to join our team in Savannah, GA.

Job Summary

The Sheetmetal Technician I will work independently or with moderate supervision to fabricate and install complex interior subassemblies in aircraft. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Perform tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that work meets FAA requirements and customer specifications.
  • Properly identify and store customer property and equipment.
  • Assist with disassembly and reassembly of aircraft interiors.
  • Coordinate with the Inspection department to ensure conformity with drawings and compliance with approved aircraft repair station procedures.
  • Adapt to sudden changes while maintaining productivity and standards of quality.
  • Use the resource planning system to produce picklists and enter daily labor against correct Work Order and item numbers.
  • Effectively use technical reference materials and learn how to find information.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of sheetmetal and/or fabrication experience.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of sheetmetal or fabrication processes (cutting, bending, forming, drilling) is required.
  • Blueprint reading and basic math skills are required.
  • Possess a working knowledge of the aircraft Policies and Procedures manual, Inspection Procedures manual, and pertinent Process Specifications.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Working Conditions

This is a first-shift position with an estimated pay rate of $23.32 per hour.
