Job Title: Material Handler

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Aerotek. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for processing the receipt of all inbound freight, processing all outbound shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process inbound freight by packing slip and purchase order
  • Process all outbound shipments from the warehouse, ensuring all shipments are labeled correctly
  • Prepare parcels for shipping
  • Replenish product that has been received into its assigned stocking location
  • Process, pick, pack, stage, and ship products
  • Assist the warehouse specialist in cycle counting as needed
  • Help direct the workflow in the receiving area, setting priorities and meeting deadlines for the receiving function
  • Read production schedule, work order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Fulfill work orders, material requests, sample requests, and distribute to Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Quality teams
  • Kit/stage work orders in specified sequence according to the production schedule
  • Maintain material handling equipment and report any potential problems
  • Perform physical counts, spot-checks, and periodic inventory verification, as well as monthly/annual physical inventory and record keeping
  • Operate forklift or material handling equipment to transport stored items from various warehouse locations
  • Own a designated 6S area and keep working area clean
  • Assist in completing preventive maintenance activities
  • Update visual boards used in communicating material issues, work order status, daily performance, accountability tracking, etc.
Requirements:
  • Forklift certification
  • Inventory management experience
  • Shipping and receiving experience
  • Warehouse management systems experience
  • PC environments experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift 10-50 lbs
  • Overtime flexibility
