Job Summary

The Registered Nurse Medical/Onc at Williamson Health provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role involves developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized nursing plans while adhering to medical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments using skills of observation, communication, and examination, including data obtained from patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  • Plan and coordinate patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnoses, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients and their families to promote health and well-being.
  • Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Tennessee.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Specialized certifications such as Basic Arrhythmia, ACLS, NVCI, and ONS chemo/immunotherapy certification may be required depending on the unit assignment.
  • Prior experience in oncology, critical care, emergency nursing, or pediatric nursing is preferred but not required.
