As an Orthopedic Spine Nurse Specialist with our team, you will play a vital role in coordinating and implementing patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

The ideal candidate will have earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university and be licensed in the State of Tennessee. Additionally, they should possess certifications such as Basic Arrhythmia, ACLS, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) within specified timeframes.

This role involves working with various patient populations, including adolescents, adults, and seniors, with a focus on orthopedic and spine care. You will be responsible for assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and providing education to patients and their families. Your ability to work well under pressure, function independently, and apply basic nursing knowledge to various settings will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments on patients within the appropriate timeframe
  • Develop individualized care plans, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnoses, standards of care/practice, interventions, and attainable outcomes
  • Provide patient education, discharge planning, and post-discharge support as needed
  • Document patient information accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • Nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
  • Licensure in the State of Tennessee
  • Certifications: Basic Arrhythmia, ACLS, NVCI
  • 1+ year of experience in orthopedic/spine care or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
