Position Summary:

The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of IT systems and services within cloud environments, specifically utilizing Microsoft Azure for CECO Environmental Corp. This role requires availability for off-hours support to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the architecture, deployment, configuration, monitoring, and upkeep of high-availability enterprise solutions adhering to industry standards using MS Azure and M365.
  • Conduct proactive system administration, including monitoring, performance tuning, uptime management, alert notifications, and automation tasks.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
  • Manage Azure DevOps repositories and establish branch policies.
  • Develop and configure new development tools aimed at enhancing automation and deployment processes, focusing on Azure operations.
  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of issues, providing workarounds or escalating as necessary.
  • Administer and manage M365 services (such as Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) in accordance with Microsoft best practices.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and software application solutions to ensure the stability of enterprise systems.
  • Define and implement configurations for Azure IAAS and PAAS services to achieve high availability, data redundancy, and resilience.
  • Establish and maintain cloud security architecture to safeguard data at rest and in transit, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Administer Windows Active Directory, Windows servers, and Linux servers, including group policy management.
  • Assist in the development and enforcement of management information systems' policies and controls within cloud environments.
  • Install new equipment and manage software upgrades and patches for various services.
  • Coordinate with third-party resources to ensure services are delivered on budget and schedule.
  • Identify and communicate technical risks proactively.
  • Maintain documentation on system processes to meet compliance and auditing standards.
  • Communicate effectively with all organizational levels.
  • Adhere to all IT and Information Security policies and assist with audit requests as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in a cloud computing environment.
  • At least five years of experience managing an enterprise-level tenant in Microsoft Azure.
  • Senior-level experience in Windows Server administration; Linux experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps configuration and management.
  • Familiarity with cloud security models and best practices.

Certifications:

  • Preferred certifications include AZ 104, AZ 140, AZ 303, AZ 304, M365 Security Administrator Associate, or M365 Enterprise Administrator Expert.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong technical networking skills, including subnetting and VPN configuration.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Travel Requirements:

Occasional travel may be necessary.
