Job Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure Lead

Job Description:

The Cloud Infrastructure Lead will collaborate closely with all IT teams to architect, design, build, operate, secure, and monitor the client's cloud infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. The candidate will leverage holistic thinking and architectural skills to drive requirements gathering, analysis, design, and implementation of solutions using both Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings. This role involves generating documentation, adhering to cloud security and architectural standards, and staying current with emerging trends. The candidate will work closely with Software, Data, and Security teams within the Technology group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Architect and deploy Azure environments with optimized cost, capacity, monitoring, scaling, disaster recovery (DR) scenarios, and Azure security considerations.
  • Work with Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Cloud Services, Azure Web Apps, and basic Azure Networking technologies.
  • Provide expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM) products, including Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, Azure AD Proxy, and SAML.
  • Develop technical roadmaps for cloud migration, optimization, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Strong scripting experience with PowerShell for automation.

Duties:
  • Contribute to establishing a secure and well-managed Azure enterprise environment.
  • Configure and manage client Virtual Networks in Azure, and integrate Azure with other networks.
  • Design and implement network connectivity to Azure (VPN, ExpressRoute, DNS, IP allocation, traffic routing, NSGs, Azure Firewall, etc.).
  • Use Azure CLI, PowerShell, and ARM templates to provision development, test, and production infrastructure as code.
  • Integrate, configure, deploy, and manage cloud services (IAM, networking, VMs, App Services, DBaaS, Containers, etc.).
  • Administer Windows Servers and automate deployments, patching, and scripting.
  • Implement Azure PaaS and IaaS services for high availability, data redundancy, data loss prevention, and site recovery.
  • Implement security architecture for data, application security, identity management, and infrastructure security (OIDC, OAuth2, VNets, NSGs, UDR).
  • Deploy monitoring and management infrastructure for availability and performance.
  • Extend systems management processes (change, incident, problem management) into the cloud.
  • Collaborate with software, data, and security teams for cloud architecture, provisioning, and compliance.
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to cloud technologies.
  • Engineers secure DevSecOps and cloud solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) for the healthcare industry.
  • Mentor team members on cloud technologies.

Qualifications Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of IT experience.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments (IaaS, PaaS).
  • Microsoft Azure Certification (MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure or equivalent).
  • Experience with Azure components: CLI, PowerShell, ARM Templates, Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Site-to-Site VPN, NSG, App Service, Azure SQL DB, DevOps configuration, Azure AD, Key Vault, SSL/TLS, Security Center.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring tools: Azure Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Application Insights.
  • Experience deploying enterprise workloads to Azure.
  • Knowledge of other cloud solutions (Google Cloud, AWS, Helion Cloud, SoftLayer) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python).
  • Experience in enterprise core services and cloud deployments.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Enterprise software products and services.
  • Business Continuity or Disaster Recovery planning experience is a plus.
