About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Analyzer Technician to join our team at Dow. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to partner with the Work Coordinator and Scheduler in performing analyzer work, including leading maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex analyzer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair, maintain, and install analyzer equipment used in the process.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and replace defective components on analyzer systems and document failure analysis.
  • Read and interpret analyzer system diagrams, flow diagrams, logic, and loop drawings.
  • Create and follow hazards assessments indicating safety, health, and environmental considerations for a job.
  • Review job procedures and verify work can be carried out safely.
  • Perform tasks as per the conditions of the Safe Work Permit.
  • Work within established Maintenance Work Processes and help resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling work.
  • Assist in planning, prioritizing, and scheduling maintenance through planner, work coordinator, and operations input.
  • Use knowledge of SAP to requisition materials necessary to complete assigned analyzer troubleshooting and repair tasks.
  • Check sizing and specification of components and parts.
  • Coordinate, specify, requisition, and install parts and equipment.
  • Support a robust procedure use culture, including field use, reviews, revisions, and development of procedures.
  • Participate in field interactions, including procedure audits as requested.
  • Provide influential leadership to the contractor workforce.
  • Participate in a leveraged team of analyzer technicians by providing back-up and callout support in all facilities supported by the department.
  • Cross-train on analyzer equipment in facilities supported by peer analyzer techs within the department.
  • Provide hands-on training to peer analyzer techs on analyzer equipment for which this role is primarily responsible.
  • Support an improvement culture by participating in root cause investigations.
  • Work with Department Analyzer Technologist to assist facility Improvement Engineer and Run Plant Engineers by providing analyzer technical expertise in advanced troubleshooting and project development.
  • Availability for weekend call and holdover overtime, callouts, plant turnarounds, is an expectation of the job.
  • Role works a 4/10 schedule Monday through Thursday.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and one or more of the following required: Associate's degree or higher in Analyzer or Instrumentation Technology from an accredited educational institute, 3 or more years of relevant military experience, Technical diploma in Analyzer or Instrumentation Technology from an accredited educational institute.
  • 3 or more years of experience in an industrial Analyzer Maintenance Technician or Instrument Maintenance Technician role required.
  • Valid U.S. driver's license.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
The Physical Abilities
  • Lift, push, and pull.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders.
  • Work in tight and closed in spaces.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator, earplugs, goggles, hardhat, and steel-toed shoes.
  • This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground.
Your Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Ability to demonstrate the use of test equipment such as Multimeter, Continuity Tester, and Voltage tester such as a Fluke T5-1000.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret a SEOLD -- Safety Electrical One Line Diagram and identify and understand auxiliary circuits associated with each piece of equipment.
  • Working knowledge of the operation and construction of low voltage electrical equipment.
  • Willing to work within a Maintenance Work Process and help resolve issues that surface as a result of planning and scheduling of work.
