AbilityPath is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Instructor to join our team. As a Program Instructor, you will play a vital role in providing engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction to participants, helping them achieve their goals and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instruction to participants in community-based, on-site, or virtual settings
  • Utilize modification techniques to respond to challenging behaviors and support behavioral plans
  • Document participant progress and achievement
  • Supervise and assist participants during volunteer activities, paid work, classes, and community outings
  • Transport participants to activities and events, ensuring their safety and well-being
  • Participate in agency functions, attend staff meetings, and engage in ongoing training and professional development
  • Maintain professional relationships and provide excellent customer service with external parties, families, caregivers, and participants

Requirements:

  • 3 years of a Valid California Driver's License/ID
  • 3 years of a Clean Driving Record (if applicable)
  • Proof of negative TB test results
  • Verification of physical clearance
  • Passing a criminal fingerprint clearance
  • 21 years of age for driving positions

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to physically respond to adults with developmental disabilities
  • Ability to lift/support at least 40 lbs as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently
  • Ability to walk for extended periods and support adults with developmental disabilities on community outings
  • Ability to drive company vehicles to transport participants
