Position Overview
The Medical Doctors of St. John's are in search of a dedicated hospitalist to become part of their collaborative team in a vibrant location. This role offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the healthcare landscape while enjoying a desirable climate.
- Responsibilities include working at a prominent health center.
- Manage an average daily patient load of 15-17 during a 12-hour shift.
- Collaborate with a team of 7-8 hospitalists during daytime hours.
- Provide care with 1-2 hospitalists on night shifts.
- Engage in concurrent rounding and admitting shifts, with flexibility for swing shifts.
- Work in a closed ICU with around-the-clock in-house coverage for emergencies.
- Focus on primary medicine hospitalist services alongside post-operative surgical co-management.
- Fulfill an annual shift requirement of 183 shifts, each lasting 12 hours.
- Encouragement for early to mid-career professionals to consider available roles.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited medical institution.
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program is required.
- Must hold an active or be eligible for a medical license.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communication and teamwork with primary care providers, specialists, and hospital staff, as well as with patients and their families.
- Compensation ranges from $270,322 to $361,204 annually.
- This salary range represents the starting total compensation and may include bonuses, performance incentives, and other forms of remuneration as applicable. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their employer.
