As the Project Manager, you will oversee the execution and management of projects within the energy and power division. Your role will involve developing and enforcing project delivery standards while establishing a comprehensive approach to the project life cycle, encompassing planning, initiation, resource allocation, execution, monitoring, control, and project completion. You will lead project teams, manage resources, budgets, and timelines, and provide regular project status updates and audit reports. Additionally, you will manage risks, issues, and change resolutions, collaborating with other leaders to implement necessary corrective actions. Your ability to work across teams will be crucial in defining project priorities and addressing implementation challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project teams with clear guidelines, tasks, and milestones, ensuring adherence to standardized processes and the implementation of best practices.
- Collaborate with staff to establish a standardized project management process, including tracking, reporting, escalation, change management, and issue resolution.
- Oversee the creation of project documentation related to scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
- Monitor project execution to ensure optimal cost control, resource efficiency, risk management, and adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks while regularly sharing lessons learned.
- Manage contract negotiations and claims with clients, in collaboration with Supply Chain and Legal teams as necessary for critical projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring project deliverables meet contractual obligations.
- Communicate effectively with tact, empathy, and diplomacy, demonstrating decision-making capabilities and the ability to work independently.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that align with business goals in collaboration with clients and management.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and clients in a timely and clear manner.
- Set and manage expectations for project teams continuously.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.
- Prepare and present progress reports, proposals, and necessary documentation for the executive team, addressing customer quality concerns with follow-up communication.
- Drive on-time performance aligned with customer requirements and production availability.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business-related field is preferred.
- General knowledge of electrical systems and applications.
- A minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Experience in project management within a manufacturing context is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead remote teams across various geographic locations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing project scope, costs, schedules, and vendor/subcontractor relationships.
- Familiarity with MS Project and other project management tools.
