Job Title: Store Manager

About the Role:

The Store Manager is a key leadership position at Sportsman's Warehouse, responsible for driving sales growth, enhancing customer experience, and managing store operations. This role requires a strong business acumen, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for the outdoor industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute business strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
  • Lead and manage a team of Department Managers to achieve sales and operational goals
  • Oversee store operations, including inventory management, labor scheduling, and customer service
  • Collaborate with buying staff to recognize sales trends and customer needs
  • Train and develop Department Managers in their daily duties, including hiring, personnel coaching, and management
  • Ensure compliance with all ATF regulations and maintain accurate records
  • Manage store events, hours, and employment opportunities on the Company website
  • Work closely with the Facility Manager to maintain the appearance and functionality of the store
  • Address customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a retail manager, preferably in the outdoor industry
  • Strong leadership skills, business acumen, and customer management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

Work Environment:

The Store Manager will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with moderate physical demands. The position requires sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods. The employee will experience a moderate noise level, typical of a business office with computers, phone, printers, and light traffic.

Travel Requirements:

This position may require some travel, but the frequency and duration will be determined by the company's needs.
