Making strategic decisions on how to advance our conversational AI platform, Microsoft Copilot Studio, is crucial for its continued success.

We are looking for an exceptional AI Architect Lead to shape the direction of our team's technical initiatives and drive innovation in machine learning, generative AI model fine-tuning, agent creation and deployment, AI infrastructure, experimentation, and platform scaling.

This role involves close collaboration with product managers, software engineers, and applied AI scientists across Microsoft Copilot Studio, Business & Industry Copilot, and Microsoft's broader AI communities to bring forth cutting-edge solutions that meet customer needs.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance and strategic direction to the AI leadership team, ensuring alignment with Microsoft's overall AI vision.
  2. Tech Strategy and Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive technical strategy and roadmap for the AI team, incorporating emerging technologies like generative AI and staying ahead of industry trends.
  3. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize future investments, driving seamless execution from concept to delivery.

Key Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 8+ years of experience in technical engineering with proficiency in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  2. OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  1. Ability to meet Microsoft security screening requirements, including background checks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in startup environments, particularly as a founder or early-stage leader.
  2. Deep understanding of cloud computing, edge technologies, machine learning, generative AI, and data analytics.

The estimated annual salary for this role is $209,600 - $314,400, depending on the work location. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. Microsoft is committed to providing a fair and competitive salary structure.
