Operative Support Specialist - Ambulatory

Position Overview:
The Operative Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures within an ambulatory setting. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in surgical technology and patient care.

Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in a surgical environment, ideally within an ambulatory surgery center.
  • Possession of a valid BCLS Certification.
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in computer applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in delivering safe and effective patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Engage in direct patient care and continuous monitoring.
  • Scrub and support the surgical team during procedures.
  • Ensure efficient turnover of the surgical room between cases.
  • Accurately collect and document relevant clinical information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Collaborate consistently with the Registered Nurse in clinical decision-making processes.
