Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a vital member of the surgical team at Lake Health District. As a CST, you will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to deliver exceptional patient care before, during, and after surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team
  • Anticipate and meet the needs of the surgical team
  • Participate in the Code Trauma Team and respond to emergencies
  • Maintain accurate records and inventory of supplies and equipment
Requirements
  • National Surgical Technologist certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous surgical scrub experience
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Working Conditions

The CST will work in a variety of settings, including operating rooms, procedure rooms, and sterile processing areas. The position requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving patients, and exposure to blood and body fluids.
