The incumbent operates with a degree of independence, guided by established policies and the review of outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Duties
- Oversee process and metrics tracking, which may involve both degreed and non-degreed personnel. Responsible for headcount management and the collection of various data essential for informed decision-making.
- Directly manage personnel, including staffing and performance development, leveraging extensive knowledge in a technical field along with analytical skills to implement policies and strategies.
- Possess awareness of industry best practices and understand how one's area of expertise integrates with others; maintain knowledge of competitive factors that set the organization apart in the marketplace.
- Utilize judgment and creativity to propose alternative solutions beyond established parameters to tackle complex manufacturing processes with technical diversity and interdependent production cycles. Apply technical expertise and analytical reasoning, utilizing both internal and limited external resources to inform decisions.
- Serve as a mentor for less experienced colleagues. May lead small-scale projects with minimal risks and resource demands. Facilitate discussions to build consensus among team members on relevant topics. Clearly communicate performance expectations and address sensitive matters.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proven capability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
- Skilled in documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.
- Demonstrated project management expertise.
