Raising a child with a developmental disability is a complex and rewarding journey that requires a deep understanding of child development, patience, and support. As an ABA Therapist with Sevita, you will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention services for infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized early educational programs for a caseload of infants and toddlers with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders.
- Administer and document program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines and ensure high-quality services.
- Design and implement activities that promote language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development for each individual child, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and coaching to support parents in their child's development.
- Monitor, document, and share the child's progress with the family and team, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in the child's care.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field, and two years of experience working with infants or young children and their parents, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Child Center Permit Teaching Credential, Therapy License, or Nursing License, preferred.
- Valid driver's license in good standing and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to manage relationships and work collaboratively with families and team members.
- A compassionate approach and a commitment to providing high-quality services that support the unique needs of each child and family.
