About the Role

The Sous Chef for Compass Group USA is a key member of our culinary team, responsible for assisting with the overall success of our Food Program. This position oversees the kitchen's daily administrative, operational, and culinary tasks, including sanitation and safety. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to quality, and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef in having ownership of the Café
  • Teach and adhere to Compass Group USA's philosophy, culture, and commitment to quality food and exemplary service
  • Support the development and implementation of menus and recipes
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Ensure all products and purchases meet Compass Group USA's sustainability guidelines
  • Enforce the Client/Compass Group USA contractual agreement
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a culinary leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for food and commitment to quality
