Make a Difference in the Lives of Inmates
As a Licensed Mental Health Professional at Wellpath, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate and effective care to individuals within correctional facilities. Your expertise will directly impact the well-being and rehabilitation of those under your care.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings for inmates referred by various sources, including security personnel, healthcare staff, and community organizations. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Deliver a range of therapeutic interventions, such as psychoeducational groups, transitional support programs, and suicide prevention strategies. Provide crisis intervention services when needed.
- Collaborate with prescribing providers to ensure medication adherence and coordinate medication evaluations for inmates under your care.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary treatment teams and administrative meetings to contribute to a holistic approach to inmate care.
- Educate correctional staff on mental health topics, promoting awareness and understanding within the facility environment.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health field.
- One or more years of experience providing mental health treatment in a correctional or hospital setting.
- Unrestricted, current license to practice as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMHC, or Psychologist in the state where you will be working. Commitment to maintaining all licensure requirements.
