Operational Co-Generation Engineer I

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Co-Generation Engineer I to join our team at the University of Massachusetts Medical School. This is a critical role that requires expertise in the operation and maintenance of complex power plant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain high-pressure steam boilers, turbine generators, and related auxiliaries.
- Perform repairs to mechanical, electrical, and distribution systems.
- Monitor and adjust power factor correction, frequency, and voltage to ensure optimal performance.
- Operate electrical power systems, including the Uninterrupted Power System (UPS) and Emergency Power System.
- Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning, and repair of all power plant equipment and instrumentation.
- Must hold a Massachusetts Third Class or higher grade Stationary Engineer's License.
- 1-2 years' experience in modern power plant operations.
- Possess strong knowledge of safety practices around high-pressure, high-voltage systems and rotating equipment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts.
