Position Overview

nGenium is seeking an experienced Imaging Engineer to contribute to the success of our client's team.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of a wide range of medical imaging equipment.

This includes, but is not limited to, general radiography, C-arms, ultrasound, and mammography systems.

Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining the integrity of equipment across various clinical settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct performance assurance inspections and scheduled maintenance on diverse medical imaging equipment.
  • Repair, install, and calibrate imaging systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide supervisors with updates on repair statuses and address any customer concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to guarantee quality service delivery.
  • Engage in continuous learning to maintain clinical engineering expertise and assist with special projects.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the equipment database, including inventory and service history.
  • Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and comply with all relevant regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with Medical Physicists to confirm that radiation outputs meet safety requirements.
  • Foster strong relationships with customers and clinicians, discussing equipment functionality and status.
  • Uphold the values of the organization and provide a positive representation of our services.
  • Perform regular inspections of inventory and maintain parts necessary for equipment uptime.
  • Verify security analysis for new customer equipment and maintain accurate records of medical devices.

Qualifications

An Associate's degree in a technical or electronics field, or equivalent military training; a Bachelor's degree in engineering technology is preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of medical imaging equipment.

Proficiency in operating tools and machinery for servicing equipment, with the ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and networking applications.

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, along with effective written and verbal communication abilities.
