Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities:

  1. Sweep, damp mop, and wet mop tile floors, following center procedures and using wet floor signs as needed.
  2. Vacuum carpeted rooms as applicable.
  3. Empty trash cans, clean exterior and interior, and replace with a clean can liner.
  4. Clean bathroom sinks, fixtures, and toilets, following center procedures.
  5. Clean glass surfaces such as mirrors, pictures, and windows.
  6. Clean behind and underneath furnishings.
  7. Follow infection control standards while performing cleaning tasks.
  8. Prevent and remove wax and dirt buildup in corners, around baseboards, and in doorways.
  9. Change soiled privacy curtains and draperies for outside windows as needed.
  10. Remove and rehang curtains and draperies for outside windows, using a ladder.
  11. Dust and damp clean surfaces in patient/resident rooms, following center procedures and using wet floor signs as needed.
  12. Move furniture to clean behind and underneath, according to center procedures.
  13. Turn bed mattresses after cleaning.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience: Previous experience with healthcare housekeeping or environmental services preferred.

Work Environment: This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. The ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects is required. The position also requires standing for long periods and walking between rooms.
