Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Grounds Management Director to join our team at Compass Group USA. As a key member of our grounds management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our campus grounds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Grounds Management Plans: Create and implement schedules for the management of grounds/lawn care that is associated with the campus.
  • Financial Management: Maintain financial records of all funds and labor expended for the department.
  • Team Management: Provide management support for the Account Manager/ RVP of Grounds Management.
  • Safety and Training: Act as a safety coordinator and trainer for employees under your management umbrella.
Requirements:
  • Education: Minimum of a two-year degree in the Agriculture / Horticulture related field (Extensive experience can supersede this requirement).
  • Experience: Minimum of five years experience in crew management, a minimum of eight subordinates.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of five years experience in the Grounds / Lawn Care Management industry as a Supervisor.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
  • Computer Skills: Well-written (report writing) and oral communication (public speaking) skills specifically in; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or compatible programs.
Physical Demands:

The successful candidate will be required to sit, stand, bend, kneel, climb stairs, ladders, and equipment, and have a good sense of balance to work on heights. Some lifting of medium and/or heavy equipment and tools will also be required.
