Surgical Technologist II

The Surgical Technologist II plays a vital role in the perioperative team, providing exceptional care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This individual must be able to prioritize tasks, maintain a calm demeanor, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in surgical technology, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
• Assist the circulating Registered Nurse in preparing the operating room for procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless execution of procedures
• Provide emotional support to patients and families during the surgical experience
Requirements
• High school graduate or equivalent, with a degree from an accredited surgical technology program
• At least 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist, with a strong focus on patient care and safety
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association, with CST certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting preferred
