Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and guide engineering teams tasked with the development of exterior trim parts, ensuring that quality, budget, and timeline objectives are achieved.
  • Employ CATIA for design and engineering activities, demonstrating proficiency and mentoring team members.
  • Coordinate with global teams across different time zones, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Engage in design processes from initial concept through to production launch.
  • Travel internationally as required to support projects, engage with suppliers, and synchronize team efforts.
  • Utilize knowledge of injection molding, including Moldflow analysis, CAE, and FEA, to improve part design and manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Design, Quality, Manufacturing, and Purchasing to achieve project goals.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities for engineering team members.
  • Prepare and deliver project updates, presentations, and technical documentation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is essential; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in engineering management within the automotive industry, particularly in exterior trim.
  • Expertise in CATIA software for modeling, design, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with injection molding processes, Moldflow analysis, CAE, and FEA.
  • Proven ability to manage global teams and coordinate efforts across different time zones.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts effectively.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging environment while exhibiting professionalism and leadership.
  • Hands-on experience in product development from concept to launch, with a track record of successful project execution.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as necessary.
