Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Surgery Physician Assistant to join our elite team at Ascension Medical Group. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiac surgery program.

Responsibilities
  • Obtain patient history and perform assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic procedures as needed.
  • Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, documenting all patient interactions and care.
  • Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and community resources.
  • Perform preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and care.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) or the Indiana Physician Assistant Committee.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Cardiothoracic/ Cardiovascular Surgery, with a strong background in surgical procedures and patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
