Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Inspector to join our team at Security Equipment Inc. As a Fire Alarm Inspector, you will be responsible for testing and inspecting Fire Alarm Systems to ensure compliance with laws, codes, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections of buildings and structures to identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire safety codes.
  • Test and inspect Fire Alarm Systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meet industry standards.
  • Locate and report fire code violations and recommend corrective actions to bring properties into compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineers and construction workers to explain fire code requirements and fire prevention information.
  • Replace defective fire detection equipment and perform routine maintenance on Fire Alarm Systems.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience maintaining or installing fire alarm systems.
  • IA State Fire License required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and work flexible hours, including weekends.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
