Position Overview
SAIC is in search of a Senior Systems Engineer to provide vital support for our esteemed US Navy client. This role is integral to the F/A-18 and EA-18G Program Office, which oversees the design, development, delivery, and ongoing support of aircraft systems.

This position offers a hybrid-remote work model, requiring onsite presence in California, MD for 2-3 days weekly. We are open to relocation for the ideal candidate. A Secret clearance is necessary for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in and oversee various program execution activities, including Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis, Technical Performance Measures, Technical Reviews, and Modeling & Simulation.
- Develop and assess various technical documentation such as Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, presentation materials, and white papers.
- Document solutions addressing technical, cost, and scheduling constraints.
- Coordinate research and problem-solving initiatives for complex challenges with multiple competing objectives and variables.
- Identify technical solutions that leverage engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders across PMA 265, other NAVAIR Program Offices, and industry partners.
- Mentor and guide the PMA 265 workforce in Systems Engineering processes and tools.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with fourteen (14) years or more of relevant Systems Engineering experience; or a Master's degree with ten (10) years or more of relevant Systems Engineering experience. Equivalent years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance; a higher level of clearance is preferred.
- Experience with NAVAIR Systems Engineering processes within Aircraft, Weapons, or Commodity Program Office environments is required.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience as a Department of Navy Class Desk or Assistant Program Manager Systems Engineer involved in the development, modification, and sustainment of Fixed or Rotary Wing manned/unmanned Aircraft Systems.
- Knowledge of the Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) process, with experience as a SETR Chairperson.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR Systems Engineering Transformation and Digital Engineering practices.
