Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our Home Health team at Sutter Health.

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in their homes, under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient-centered care, adhering to established standards of care, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Support the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to maintain patient privacy and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Vocational Nursing.
  • LVN-Licensed Vocational Nurse for California-based jobs or LPN-Licensed Practical Nurse for Oregon-based jobs.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Valid Drivers License and Auto Insurance.
  • 1 year recent relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic nursing skills, various medical procedures, views, and equipment.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
