Overview
The Whole Child - Mental Health & Housing Services is committed to providing exceptional support services to families in need. As a Child Welfare Advocate, you will play a critical role in promoting the well-being and resilience of children and families. Your primary responsibility will be to provide advocacy, support, and referral services to clients assigned to your caseload, empowering them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Child Welfare Advocate. The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a mental health setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, with the ability to build strong relationships with families and community partners. A deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by families in crisis is also required.

Benefits and Salary
The Whole Child offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum (dependent on experience), along with a comprehensive benefits package, including full health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan with employer matching, paid time off, and 12 paid holidays annually. Additionally, you will receive a technology stipend and bilingual stipend if applicable.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide advocacy, support, and referral services to clients assigned to your caseload
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address client/family needs and facilitate community services linkage
- Document all activities in accordance with Medi-Cal regulations and FSP Services protocol
- Act as a liaison between FSP staff, community providers, families, and children, facilitating an alliance to The Whole Child mission
- Participate in identifying clients' needs and triggers to escalation and barriers, making recommendations to supervisors and treatment teams
- Teach and guide parents and caregivers to manage existing resources and access needed resources
- Develop and maintain positive, supportive relationships with parents and act as a liaison between client, agency, and community resources

Working Conditions
This role requires frequent travel to school and home sites, with occasional need to work out in the field contacting clients. The position involves constant interaction with staff and clients, frequent use of computer and other office productivity machinery, and occasional transportation of materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
