Dental Assistant Professional

We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team at Third Street Family Health Service. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during various treatment procedures, preparing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment, and educating patients on proper oral healthcare. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including preparing patients for exams and procedures, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, ensuring they are sterilized and ready for use.
• Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified), and prepare patients for radiographic procedures.
• Educate patients on proper oral healthcare, including brushing and flossing techniques, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
• Perform office management tasks as needed, including answering phones, greeting patients, and maintaining accurate records.
• Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout their visit, adhering to all infection control protocols.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience.
• X-ray certification, required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, dentists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and ensure a clean and organized work area.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and meeting the needs of our patients and families.
Salary Description
