About the Role:

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team at LifeBridge Health.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine histology, including Immunohistochemistry and Special Stains. They will demonstrate competency and proficiency in embedding and cutting routine and biopsy tissue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine histology tasks, including IHC and Special Stains
  • Demonstrate expertise in embedding and cutting tissue samples
  • Articulate knowledge of testing principles, computer skills, quality control, and pre/post-analytical problems
  • Assist AP Manager and Team Leader on Quality Assurance & Improvement and supervision of daily workflow and staffing

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) in a specialized field such as Life Sciences. They should have 1-3 years of experience as a Histotechnologist (ASCP) and be proficient in IHC/SS validations and equipment maintenance.
