Job Summary

This role is responsible for performing analyses on various sample types under general supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in clinical laboratory processes, analytical procedures, and laboratory equipment maintenance and calibration.

The successful candidate will be an effective team member, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform mathematical and statistical operations accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing using manual and automated processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory agency guidelines (CLIA 88, TJC, CAP, FDA, etc.).
  • Identify and resolve analytical problems, troubleshoot equipment issues, and take corrective action, seeking guidance when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems, documenting corrective actions.
  • Review and record quality control, determining the acceptability of testing, patient results, and instrument function.
  • Respond to clinical and customer concerns, resolving issues confidentially, employing integrity and discretion.
  • Attend mandatory education, training, and in-service meetings specific to the department.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, biology, or related sciences, or an Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field, or completion of a Military Laboratory Technician program with relevant experience.
  • 0-1 years of experience preferred; minimum of 3 years of clinical laboratory experience required.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent preferred.
Salary and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range: $28.11-$52.14 per hour. Additionally, you may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
