As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in leveraging cloud technologies to enhance the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical platforms. Your expertise in building, managing, and securing containerized environments will be essential in addressing complex challenges faced by our clients.
Your Responsibilities:
- Utilize your extensive experience to optimize the software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to production monitoring.
- Implement cutting-edge cloud technologies to improve client environments through effective container management solutions.
- Collaborate closely with clients to provide strategic insights and design recommendations, ensuring adherence to industry standards throughout the containerization process.
- Advise on tools such as Kubernetes to facilitate secure and efficient container adoption.
- Expand your skill set in Containerization and Microservices while contributing to the development of essential cloud platforms.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in building, deploying, and automating software solutions.
- Proficiency with major cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in supporting cloud applications and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices, including automated server configurations and large-scale software deployments.
- Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to obtain relevant security certifications within the first six months of employment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in identifying and implementing automation solutions to enhance user experience.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
- Knowledge of system integration using various protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML.
- Experience with configuration management using JSON, YAML, or XML.
- Familiarity with the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model or DevSecOps Maturity Model.
- Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Certified Professional – Cloud Architect.
Clearance Requirements:
Applicants selected for this position will undergo a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is mandatory.
