Project Engineer Job Description

At Western Partitions, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the setup, management, and closeout of projects at our Regional office or Jobsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager with project planning, scheduling, and execution throughout each phase to completion.
  • Review contract language, scope of work, and special provisions in the contract.
  • Procure materials, subcontractors, and engineering quotes.
  • Prepare RFI's, submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Support job site visits and participate in job meetings as required.
  • Review weekly job cost reports with the project Foreman and team.
  • Coordinate warranties, O&M's, and closeout on projects.

Requirements:

  • Ability to diagnose and process key information, recognize critical areas on the job that could impact profitability, and navigate the project away from risks and liabilities for a successful outcome.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Strong organizational and computer use skills, with a high level of competency to read/write/speak English and communicate with coworkers.
  • Experience with commercial grade doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Local to office is preferred.
