Job Title: Project Engineer

The Project Engineer is a key member of our estimating and project management teams at Anning Johnson, a leading commercial construction company with a rich 80+ year history.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the management and execution of commercial construction projects across the Portland metro market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate project activities, ensuring quality and accuracy of project information and activities.
  • Work closely with senior-level construction professionals to manage and run commercial projects.
  • Prepare estimates for new projects, including quantity takeoffs and subcontracting prices.
  • Assist clients with budgets and value engineering, building strong relationships through exceptional customer service.
  • Review daily reports for accuracy, oversee field reports and accounting, and coordinate with General Contractors.
  • Conduct continuous evaluations of costs, schedules, and equipment needs, ensuring optimal use of resources.
  • Relate any problems, changes, or recommendations to the Project Manager, maintaining close contact with the public, engineers, inspectors, and customers.
