An Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in the nursing discipline, ensuring students meet academic standards and achieve program goals. This role involves teaching day, evening, and online programs, with a focus on traditional and dual-enrolled students.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver curriculum in accordance with academic standards, incorporating current technology and industry practices.
- Evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and grade coursework in a timely manner.
- Ensure a safe and secure learning environment, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to establish, measure, and evaluate program student learning outcomes.
- Participate in professional development training, workshops, and conferences to stay current in the field.
- A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with a valid Georgia RN license and current BLS (CPR) Certification.
- An Associate Degree in Registered Nursing from an accredited institution, with a preference for a Bachelor's Degree.
- Teaching experience in postsecondary education, with a focus on online teaching and recent teaching experience.
This role operates in a professional environment, requiring the use of standard office equipment and technologies related to the instructional environment.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands of this role include standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Occasional lifting of office products, supplies, and instructional materials up to 25 pounds may be required.
TravelTravel to other campuses and clinical sites is necessary for teaching assignments, meetings, trainings, and professional development.
