Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Master Precision Machinist to operate Haas vertical machining centers and produce high-quality precision parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform work in accordance with ThermAvant's safety practices and standard operating procedures
  • Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel to deliver products that meet design and quality requirements
  • Inspect work to ensure requirements are met, and complete required paperwork to account for production and quality activity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing process issues
  • Develop cost-saving measures through the continuous improvement process (Kaizen)
  • Maintain a clean and well-organized work area
Requirements

We require applicants to have the following qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MicroSoft Office including Word and Excel
  • Ability to measure parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
  • Basic shop math skills (i.e., convert between different units of measurement)
  • Knowledge of G-code for proofing programs
  • Ability and willingness to learn, adapt quickly, and be cross-trained
  • Good hands-on aptitude for mechanical systems
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday). Willingness to work overtime as required. Prior CNC machine or programming experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
