AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer for our Industrial Remediation Practices group to support remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in remediation system design and management/oversight of operations, maintenance, and monitoring.

The position requires strong multi-discipline technical and interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively with engineers and scientists on a variety of remediation projects. Strong verbal and written communication skills are critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering and design support for private industrial and municipal remediation projects.
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide field oversight of pre-design investigations.
  • Remedial technology design (water / wastewater) experience.
  • Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) related experience (project life-cycle): investigation, treatment/remedial design, remedial implementation, and operations.
  • Modeling and analysis of remediation performance and subsurface conditions.
  • Serve as a senior technical resource and provide specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications. Please note that this role can be based anywhere in the United States.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Direct PFAS experience.
  • FE or EIT is required.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to Health and Safety.
  • PE preferred.
