Job Title: Flight Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as providing pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care.

Responsibilities:
  • Completion and submission of electronic patient care records within specified time frames
  • Daily base checks, including narcotic counts
  • Providing pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care
  • Maintaining thorough patient care documentation
  • Participating in ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences to maintain competency
  • Maintaining documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, safety, and advanced procedures
  • Knowledgeable in the use and routine maintenance of all equipment and supplies used by emergency programs
  • Maintaining positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues, EMS representatives, hospitals, and the public
  • Functioning as a medical flight member
  • Attending pre-mission briefings and mission debriefing and completing necessary documentation
  • Assisting in pre-mission liftoff checklists and pilot assistance when needed
  • Complying with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patient, and equipment prior to liftoff
  • Conducting aircraft safety briefings as needed
  • Filling open or vacant shifts within assigned areas as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director
Requirements:
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in an ALS or critical care setting
  • Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status
  • Will be required to obtain trauma certification within 12 months of hire
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C) preferred, required within 24 months from date of hire
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred
  • NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area
