Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Flight Paramedic to join our team of air transportation experts at Med-Trans Corporation. As a Flight Paramedic, you will be responsible for safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, as well as scene call work. Your primary focus will be on providing high-quality patient care in critical care situations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment: Assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor, and treat patients in critical care situations.
  • Critical Thinking: Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians' orders.
  • Aircraft Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, perform regular equipment and base checks, and comply with safety standards and briefings.
  • Communication: Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
  • Documentation: Share shift change information to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
  • Certifications and Training: Maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an ALS or critical care setting.
  • Certifications: Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area, NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status, Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (Provided During Orientation).
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Experience: Previous air medical transport experience.
  • Certifications: Advanced Certification (FP-C).
  • Instructor Certifications: Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
