Position Overview

Computer Upgrade King LLC, a locally operated online technology firm focused on crafting high-performance gaming and business computers, is seeking to expand our dedicated team with a full-time IT Systems Technician in our innovative Computer Modification Division.

This essential team is responsible for executing our computer builds and rigorously testing the completed systems. We are in search of an individual who is ready to engage actively and contribute significantly. This role demands working in a dynamic environment, where multitasking and meeting performance benchmarks are crucial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute modifications on computer systems by adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple computer system modifications by optimizing workspace and prioritizing tasks to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain the required modification output at the designated tier level, which may fluctuate based on seasonal demands and task complexity, as determined by the Operations Manager.
  • Verify that the correct computer system and upgraded components align with the work order before initiating modifications.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in basic modifications involving CPU, RAM, hard drives, and other optical drive replacements.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple tasks.
  • A minimum of one year of experience working with personal computers is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.

Essential Duties:

  • Ensure that the computer system and upgraded components correspond accurately with the work order prior to commencing modifications.
  • Initiate the modification process by confirming the computer system's full functionality before any alterations.
  • Perform modifications on computer systems by following established Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Manage multiple computer system modifications concurrently by fully utilizing the workspace and prioritizing tasks for optimal time management.
  • Conduct testing on modified computer systems to ensure operational effectiveness.
  • Follow protocols when modifications do not succeed to identify the root cause and promptly communicate with the Lead Technician for resolution.
